Holder for airbrushing or hand painting wheels for 1:35 scale armored vehicles. Rather than sticking a bunch of wooden sticks in a block of foam, I decided to design and print a stand that will hold the wheels so they can be painted. The OpenSCAD file can be customized to fit your needs: pinBottom = slightly bigger than the diameter of your wheel hub. This keeps the wheel floating above the base plate. pinTop = slightly smaller than the diameter of your wheel hub. This allows the wheel to partially slide down the pin. wheel = outer diameter of the wheel. buffer = extra space between wheels. row = number of rows to print. col = number of columns to print. apron = extra space around the perimeter of the base plate so that the pins aren't right on the edge. This design worked with the 1:35 scale Tank I'm building, but you can customize the file to use in your projects.
