<p>Picked up a DeWalt DW1450 Metric Tap and Die set at Home Depot.</p> <p>As it came in a blister pack, it needed a better place to rest.</p> <p>"Fingers" in the cover keep everything in place when closed, regardless of orientation.</p> <p>I exchanged the stock taps for Rocaris gold spiral taps (Amazon).</p> <p>The stock taps fit.......but I designed it for the spirals.</p> <p>2ea 8mm x 3mm neodymium magnets hold it closed.</p> <p>1.5mm steel wire acts as a hinge.</p> <h3>Print Settings</h3> <p><strong>Printer:</strong></p> <p>Mi3</p> <p class="detail-setting rafts"><strong>Rafts: </strong> <div><p>No</p></div> <p><strong>Supports:</strong></p> <p>No</p> <p class="detail-setting resolution"><strong>Resolution: </strong> <div><p>.15</p></div> <p><strong>Infill:</strong></p> <p>10%</p> <p><strong>Filament:</strong></p> eSun is what I used PLA+ is my preference <p>Your choice</p> <p><br/> <p class="detail-setting notes"><strong>Notes: </strong></p> </p><div><p>Orient parts with their large flat surfaces down on the build plate.</p></div> Post-Printing ============= <p><strong>Assembly</strong></p> <div><p>Assemble cover to base, insert hinge wire through one base hinge barrel into the cover hinge barrel until it's flush with the end of the cover hinge barrel, cut the wire flush with the base hinge barrel, dot the outer end with CA, then repeat for the other side.</p> Magnets glue(CA) and press into their recesses. </div></p></p> Category: Tool Holders & Boxes
