Tape Roll Holder

Tape Roll Holder

The desk where my 3d printer sits is getting pretty cluttered, and space is at a premium. I'm constantly picking this roll of tape up and moving it around, so I thought I'd give it a better home, and designed this holder. The first draft of the design was sort of a fixed bar that just went straight out. I didn't even bother printing that one, because I'm 100% positive I would have gotten sick of running into it when the tape wasn't on there, so I redesigned it with a hinge. Now, when the tape is in use, or I've left it somewhere else, I can move the holder out of the way. Print Settings Printer: Monoprice Dual Extrusion Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Personal preference Infill: 30% Notes: I say "no supports", because that's how I printed it. I'm not going to lie though, the curves of that hinge would likely be a lot cleaner if they had some supports. The hole in the hinge printed just fine. Also, I printed helper disks on the sharp corners. I don't know if they're necessary, but I'm tired of warped prints and they work.
