Tapered Leg Jig for Planer

Tapered Leg Jig for Planer

This is a tapered leg jig for a planer. It's made for 3.5" x 3.5" x 29" material. For my use, I wanted to taper two sides to produce a 2" square bottom while tapering about 23" of the leg. However, I made a design change to the legs and decided to reduce them to 3" x 3" x 29" and used a .5" shim under the low end. This produced a 2" square on the bottom and tapered about 20" of the leg. Yeah, it's overkill, since I could have just cut some wood blocks, but it's precise! Also, the wood looks the way it does as it is old reclaimed heart pine - those are nail holes.
