UPDATED - Finished. Enjoy! Please post pictures of your prints. The new Apple Airport Extreme / Time Capsule (2013) is almost exactly the same proportions as the Tardis. Starting with OZAR's 'Actual Tardis', I removed / replaced the non-manifold fonts and did a lot of reworking of the rest of the mesh in Blender, including lots of tweaks to make it print better when large. I looked at iFixIt's teardown and created venting in the base to maintain the fan driven airflow of these units. Instructions Print with no raft or supports, I print at the standard .20mm layer height, although you would get a quicker and just as acceptable print at 0.27mm. Give your printer a good once over before starting, this is a long print. I've been getting on better and better with Blender, initially an impenetrable fortress of hidden key strokes and confusing accidental mouse actions, having actual tasks to get done in Blender has helped me understand its full power. Included is a .blend file with 'live' boolean stacks still enabled, feel free to take a a look at how I have constructed this in sections, with vents, stacking keys and the void for the device removed, and then easily produced printable sections. Printing: This is a very large print, which is challenging, if you do print it, PICTURES PLEASE!!! And share how it went. Because of it's size, unless you are hotboxing expert, PLA only. Print time is long, approaching 20 hours total. Print out, brush off any excess on the fitting keys, and put it over your WiFi base station. Invite friends around, and casually drop it into conversation. Note their envy with glee!
