I wrapped it in heat shrink so it doesn't touch the negative side. Then the ground on the battery holder goes to the negative lead on the LED, and the positive side on the battery holder goes to the center lead on the switch. The switch fits onto the base from above, then you glue the pylon on top in the indent. The bottom of the base slots in and twists to close.
