Targus Tripod DJI Osmo Mount

Targus Tripod DJI Osmo Mount

After purchasing a DJI Osmo, I really wanted to put it on a tripod but didn't want to drop $50 on the various things from DJI to make that happen. My 3D printer to the rescue. This is a simple design in 3 pieces to mate the Osmo to the quick connect head of my Targus tripod. It seems to work great and is solid. I included a tab to mount my Rode microphone using the DJI mount it came with. Be warned that the furry "deadcat" windscreen that came with the mic limits the ability to pan while mounted. Use, enjoy, and improve where needed. Screws: M3 Hex - 13mm (6) Bolt: 1/4" X 2" (1) You will want to run a 1/4" drill bit through the bolt and mount hole. I left the end of the hole in the bolt thumb screw solid for ease in printing. Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: Standard Infill: 20% Notes: I used the standard setting but bumped up the infill for a more rigid structure. How I Designed This Solidworks 2014 Love this software for 3D design. No training and just playing with it I have been able to make some pretty complex designs.
