Tarot 650 gimbal mount remix - 64mm

thingiverse

This is a remix of rb1205's original design to mount a Hakrc style 3-axis Storm32 gimbal on a Tarot 650 frame. This remix adjusts the rail hole spacing to 60mm on center instead of 58.2mm. It also splits the mount in to 2 parts, so that the gimbal can also be positioned underneath the 10mm aluminum rail mounts. It should work on any gimbal that uses 8mm damping balls arranged in a 64mm square pattern. Here is a link to the gimbal I used: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C3X6HKF1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This thing is best printed in TPU due to the 2-pc design. TPU provides the needed friction so the gimbal can't slide on the rails during flight. The STL file is printable without supports, and no rotation is necessary. You will need to print 2 copies for a complete assembly. To assemble, simply remove damping balls from the top aluminum mounting bracket on the gimbal, and insert the damping balls into the printed parts. Pay attention to orientation when you reinsert the damping balls, otherwise you may have to do this twice like I did. Slide the mounts onto the rails to position the gimbal. Once in position, you can slide the corners of mount slightly to square things up such that the dampers are not tweaked.
