Taz Pro Lead Screw Design Conversion

Hello Internets, This is a mod if you want to build a Taz Pro using lead screws. If you are building this completely from scratch, you will need to download the Taz Pro 1.0.7 design files from Lulzbot as your baseline and offset with these files as needed. The X carriage parts are designed to use the 12mm rails from a Taz 6, so you don't need to get the "proper" longer smooth rails. Not sure why Lulzbot decided to extend out the rails and extend their BOM cost, but the extensions are, as near as I can tell, entirely unnecessary - just needed to bump the grub screw mounts in a bit to reach. This Lead Screw design for the Taz Pro is intended to be used with the same Z-Nuts and Z-Lead screws as a Taz 6. If you build the frame to Taz Pro spec (or are using a frame pre-built from Lulzbot), this will drop your Z-Volume by 27mm. You will need to alter the firmware to use this mod - because of the reduced height, and lead screw design. You cannot use the default LulzBot firmware for the Taz Pro because the lead screws cannot be run at the speed that the Z-belt drive runs on the Pro. Here are the approximate key things you need to change in the Marlin Configuration.h and Configuration_adv.h (please note that these need the hashtag symbol in front of the word define - I can't figure out how to escape thingiverse' markdown for hashtag, and I can't be bothered to spend any more time on it) define ENDSTOPS_ALWAYS_ON_DEFAULT define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {100, 100, 1600, 420} define DISABLE_INACTIVE_Z true define Z_PROBE_SPEED_FAST 300 define Z_PROBE_SPEED_SLOW 60 define DEFAULT_MAX_ACCELERATION {9000, 9000, 100, 9000} define DEFAULT_MAX_FEEDRATE {300, 300, 3, 25} define HOMING_FEEDRATE_Z 180 define MANUAL_FEEDRATE {2340, 2340, 240, 60.0} define Z_MAX_POS 274 This was a skunkworks project for me. I'm providing in case it's of use for someone else, but this is all at your own risk and I don't provide any support for this. Hope this helps someone. Use at your own risk.
