TDA7492P Case

thingiverse

This is a remix of a couple of TDA7492P cases I found on Thingiverse that were either for a different version of my board or too tight to fit my particular board. Not taking any credit for originality and thankful for the inspiration of the other designs. My particular board is SW-HF01 V3.2 150901. I designed the case to have a 1-2 mm clearance all around this board. For simplicity I went with a lid that has four corner feet that double as push downs to hold the board against its mounting stand-offs and as friction latches to keep the lid on. Works quite well actually given the layer ridges inherent in 3D printing. One complication is that the lid sides are a bit narrow and the lid can warp as it cools, like mine did as you can see in one of the pictures. Some additional internal longitudinal stiffening ribs might help avoid that. I included pictures of my first print on a Monoprice Select Mini with gray Hatchbox PLA, spray painted with super cheap Dollar General glossy black. I'm wanting to experiment with automotive filler primer next, to see how much of the layer striations can be filled in that way for a smooth surface. Anyway, this was a quick afternoon v1.0 for me, feel free to modify it to your heart's content. This thing was made with Tinkercad. Edit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/9zZl1ZCJsnl
