Team Durango DEX410R Front Suspension Hanger

SO, I have been too lazy to head to the local hobby shop to pay $20 for a tiny little piece of plastic, so my DEX410R has been sitting out of commission for about 3 months... (I know, I know). A few days ago, I bought a $20 pair of dial calipers from a flea market so now all I have to spend is 20 minutes and ~600 mm of filament. Also included is a modified version of the suspension bracket that includes a bumper that protrudes about an inch from the front, and about 2 inches to either side from the center to offer some protection to your front suspension and A-arms, and shouldn't interfere with the wheels. If there are any problems with the wheels rubbing on the bumper, just comment and I will fix it, if I don't print it and see for myself. Print Settings Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Resolution: 100 microns Infill: 100% Notes: Print with a 5 mm brim to ensure that it stays in place. The normal bracket needs to be printed at 100% infill because it is a small part that takes quite a beating (when I am using it, anyway). I have not printed the modified bumper yet, but I would recommend at least 60% infill on it. I say 60 instead of 100 because the braces running to the bumper help to stiffen the pivot point right where it is prone to breaking. I print both with default supports (everywhere), but they are only REALLY necessary on the custom bumper. Post-Printing Post-Print Just clean up all of the surfaces with a razor blade. $20 calipers to make $20 part only 20 minutes away... Installed! Pardon the dated furniture, you can't complain when your living with your parents. (I'm in high school) How I Designed This Rule 1 of a student: spend as little as possible. Google Sketchup Make, $20 dial calipers from a flea market. Who would've thought that Sketchup (the free version), in the 3D printing template, can take dimensions down to the millionth of an inch?!?!
