These are battery hold down bars for the Team Losi XXX-S. They mount to the stock posts but are not the same as the original dimensions in terms of height. They have been sized for a 2S lithium battery pack (tested specifically with the Zeee 2S 6200mAh and 7200mAh battery packs, but any pack of the same size should fit). Because the chassis has curved ribs inside to match the rounded shape of a NiMH or NiCd pack, a squared off lithium pack sits higher and on top of the ribs. These battery bars have therefore been raised up to accommodate the higher position of the lithium packs. They will be loose if attempting to hold down a NiMH or NiCd, although a very thick piece of foam would potentially make it usable. Two variants have been included. The first option is a simple bar somewhat similar to the original, but this was found to provide insufficient grip against the battery, even with a thin layer of foam. The battery escaped and went flying out the side of the car. I am providing it but do not recommend it's use. The second style is more robust and includes an overhanging catch on the outside edge to prevent the battery from sliding out to the side. It has worked well to retain the battery so far. Even without foam it kept the battery in place, although I'm not sure how it would handle a crash without the added grip provided by foam. The R cotter pins will be a tighter fit than stock. If you are using smaller pins than what the car came with, it may be a challenge. Print orientation should be obvious, but print with the large flat side down on an FDM printer. STEP file has been included in case any design changes are needed. I can foresee someone maybe wanting a little more height in order to use a thicker foam for grip on the battery, or adjusting the width for their particular battery pack.
