TEF17 Trench Y

Trench Y in the Upper Holt, Teffont. This trench was placed on a terrace near the hilltop which had previously been shown to have structures built upon it. Excavation revealed a hard packed stone surface extending across the full trench. A sondage was placed across this to investigate its depth and what might lie beneath (at an odd angle as the surface was originally thought to be a wall running diagonally across the trench).
