Telecaster bridge pickup thread fix (Seymour Duncan Hot Rails Tele)

thingiverse

I have Seymor Duncan Hotrail humbucker in the bridge position of my Squier Affinity Telecaster and I noticed that it became really low relative to the strings and tried to lift it using the screws but nothing happened. I realized pickup threads are stripped. Seymour Hot rail baseplate made from composite and waxed through - so no just-superglue-the-nut-to-it fix. I wanted to leave this pickup intact so ive improvised this non-invasive thread fix. Hope maybe this will help someone. You will need: 3x M3 nuts 3x M3 screws 20-25 mm long approx, depending on your setup 1x Hotrailthreadfix.stl 2x Hotrailthreadfix2.stl Please note that every pickup might be slightly different, every guitar different (pockets for pickups), your printer might differ from mine so maybe you will need to apply some elbow grease to it (sand it down a little, drill a hole bit bigger, etc) Print them on their sides (as in STL), with supports of course. Glue nuts with superglue. Printed 100% infill 0.2 res with PETG on my ender 3 and everything just snapped in place.
