Telescope Parabolic Mirror (In action !)

A 600mm (12") diameter parabolic mirror with 1000mm focal point. I also added a small assembly showing the optical result. A camera is placed in front of the mirror at the focal point. A target plate (600mmX600mm) is placed 1km behind the camera. The pictures shows the resulting telescopic effect. You can change the diameter as well as the distance of the focal point simply by using the initial sketch and the equation for the parabolic curve. NOTE: Due to the size of the assembly, it is recommended to zoom on particular parts or use the camera viewpoint.
