Bought this radio https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073RZHSMG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 that comes with antenna, then bought this extension https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DHW1ZXC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and removed the sticker, yellow foam grip and drilled out the rivets for the threaded tip and removed it. Note that in the pics it is not mounted, just mocked up, and the cable is not connected.
