Here is my version of the Free Worlds League solid heavy mech, the Tempest. I have the two canon variants the 3M (1 GR, 3 ML, 1 LPL, & an SRM6) and the 3M2 (1 LGR, 3 ERML, 1 LPL, & an SSRM6); as well as a custom field refit based on some fluff I read that downgrades the Gauss to an LB10X and uses the saved weight to add a ton of armor and upgrade the medium lasers to pulse versions (essentially, turning it into a more brawly mech). Some general notes on the design: 1) I shun the huge center hump in the art. It is dumb. Why have it be so tall if its only point is to allow the head laser to switch from front to back facing? I made mine notably smaller to fit the size of the laser. 2) This is a stocky little chonk. It is a whopping 43.4 mm tall, but it is scaled to the correct volumetric size compared to my other models. 3) The models print in two parts: Legs and Torso. There are 3 poses for the legs: walking, braced, and jump jet. There are 5 torso poses: A=Gauss aim, B=arms down, C=Large Pulse aim, D=oh fuck I am surrounded, and E) standard MWO all weapons forward. I have the head medium laser in the forward arc on A, B, C, and E. D has the head laser covering the rear arc. Additionally, the jump jet leg pose is designed to go with the JJ base (see pictures). 4) Not important, but I think this mech's head looks like a frog. I hope y'all like it!
