<p>This thing consists of 10 different temple pieces for the board game Tikal. Each piece locks into the respective piece below it for stability. When your temple reaches level 10, it will be a complete Mayan temple.</p><p>If you want to play it in "reverse", check out the new <a href="https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/33272-temple-pieces-for-the-board-game-tikal-reverse-ver">reverse version of the tikal pieces</a>.</p><p>Beside the single temple layer pieces and several temple layers in one block, there are several layouts of pieces for you to choose from.</p><p>Thanks go to Harlan Martin for the write library!</p><p>Have fun!</p><h3>Instructions</h3><p>Printing</p><p>Print each "Upgrade_XX" and "Map_X" the number of times its needed for the board game Tikal:<br>3 x Upgrade_02<br>6 x Upgrade_03<br>9 x Upgrade_04<br>11 x Upgrade_05<br>8 x Upgrade_06<br>5 x Upgrade_07<br>3 x Upgrade_08<br>2 x Upgrade_09<br>1 x Upgrade_10<br>3 x Map_01<br>3 x Map_02<br>4 x Map_03<br>3 x Map_04<br>3 x Map_05<br>1 x Map_06</p><h3>Alternative</h3><p>Alternatively if you are brave, you can use different STL files i created to print the needed parts in one go (if these fit to your build plate):</p><p>Print the three STL files 'upgrades_p1', 'upgrades_p2' and 'maps_p3'. Each one fits to a makerbot2 printing area.<br>Together they are all the map and upgrade pieces you need for one Tikal game. You can try to print it without a raft, as the bottom of each piece is tapered to get it off the printers bed easily.</p><p>If you just want to have one pyramid to see whether you like it, print the 'oneprint' file.</p><p><strong>The OpenSCAD file</strong></p><p>Note that you need to put the Write.scad file in a subfolder called "write" to get numbers on your components when you use OpenSCAD.</p><p>Beside the functions to print single temple layer pieces and several temple layers in one block, there are several layouts of pieces for you to choose from:</p><ul><li>temple defines a complete temple in one block</li><li>tempelcut will show a complete temple with a cutout to see the inner structure</li><li>oneprint contains all 10 pieces needed for a single temple. Print it to test the pieces. Note that you need much more pieces to play Tikal.</li><li>upgrades will show the complete set of upgrade pieces needed for the game Tikal</li><li>maps will show the complete set of map pieces needed. Both the temples on the board and the temples on the hexagonal land pieces are taken into account. You can use these map pieces so that all temples of the same level are of the same height. During the game, whenever a hexagon with a temple is put down, select the corresponding map piece and put it into place.</li></ul><p>upgrades_print1, upgrades_print2 and maps_print3 might fit to your printing area. Together they are all the map and upgrade pieces you need for one Tikal game.</p>
