<p>This demonstrates the same principles as the Impossible Table.</p><p>You will need a laser cutter for this or a a silhouette cutter like the Cricut.&nbsp;</p><p>This is just a tensegrity sculpture.&nbsp;</p><p>tabs are made of .02" polystyrene</p><p>the ball chain is 2.4mm diameter</p><p>it is secured into the base using some UV cured resin but you can use any number of different adhesives.</p><p>Insert the chain through the top so that is sticks out just a little through the bottom. Connect the first Tab in place and pull it tight to the top of the base. Apply your adhesive and hold the chain tight from the bottom until cured. Insert the rest of your tabs and enjoy.</p><p>I do not know the original source of it but this design is based on a meme I saw years ago where someone had tied knots in a string and cut up a plastic soda bottle to suspend the string in the manner I am suspending the ball chain.</p>
