Tension Rod 45 Degree Pool Lanai Bracket

We recently had a pool installed and the cage has a 45 degree angle on one side to avoid our well pump. In order to control the sun throughout the day and give the lanai a warmer feel we decided to install tension rods and curtains around the lanai but this one corner gave us issues because the tension rods are designed for straight runs and the aluminum is also at a 45 degree angle. I made these brackets and a center support to hold the rod over the distance and it has been working out great. I just had to remove a screw from each end that I used to hold the bracket and reinstalled. I don’t know that these bracket will help anyone directly but it will surely get you thinking about how you can solve little problems quickly and easily.
