Tentacles - The slimiest of Greek gods

Tentacles - The slimiest of Greek gods

thingiverse

Jointed laser cut octopus tentacles. Plastic green tentacle not included. Moves up and down, and included aglets so you can convert it to motor drive, if you're so inclined. Future goals (if I care): Alternate stages 180 degrees so that movement is universal. Fix smaller stage circles clips so that they protrude a little more, properly holding the hinge retainer pieces. Instructions Uses 3mm acrylic. Leftmost objects are just the base boolean objects so you can edit everything easier. Don't print those. You'll need one of each of the long parts for every side, print two of each. Start with the largest pieces and work your way down. Put the ball in the socket, and clip it to the circle. You could print multiples to make it longer, or shorten the legs and add more to increase the bend. Holes are provided if you want to add a string or bowden cable (bike brake cable) for motor control.
