"Please accept this token from the Dark Brotherhood. It is a virgin blade, and thirsts for blood. May it serve you well, as does your silence."―Lucien Lachance I’ve been very busy lately ripping, modifying and uploading Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim props on Thigiverse. This time it is the enchanting Blade Of Woe. This is a unique dagger associated to the Dark Brotherhood in TES IV Oblivion. The mesh was originally designed by Bethesda Studios back in 2005/2006 and ripped by me from the Oblivion.bsa file in the game directory. As for all my game props, I use the ORIGINAL game mesh. Just very little modelling by me was done, as seams and alignment joints. These were necessary to make the dagger printable. The Bethesda (low poly) mesh itself was left sacred. ----------- Printing instructions: 1: Print the grip vertically, the opening facing down. I used just 4% infill, 2 walls and 0.2mm resolution 2: Print the pommel vertically. I used around 10% infill, 2 walls and a 4mm brim 3: Print the two rain guard parts but DO NOT MIRROR. As they are slightly different. I used 2 walls and 12% infill 4: Print the two parts of the blade vertically. I used 0% infill, 3 walls and a 4mm brim. I would recommend printing it solid. My blade tends to bend quite easy. Assembly instructions: 1: Sand the halves of the rain guard for better glue adhesion and a finer finish 2: Sand or file down the alignment pins for easier assembly (prevent forcing them) 3: Glue all the parts together (I used commonly available PVC glue for my PLA parts. It dries quickly and is rock solid!) 4 (optional): Prime the model and paint it to your liking or according to the added original texture (good luck with that). 5: Post that make, guys!!
