Tesla Valve

Tesla Valve

thingiverse

This is a one-way tesla valve. It is designed to print with an open top, and then you can attach a clear acrylic or plexiglass top, so that you can see inside while using it. The idea was to have students making water flow systems and seeing how the parts work. The inlet and outlet are made to fit 4mm IV tubing. That is the size that I was able to source when buying syringes and fittings, so I'm assuming it's fairly standard. Sadly, it doesn't really work. It slightly slows the flow in the reverse direction, but not enough to be useful in any sort of application and certainly not enough to be considered "one-way flow". So I don't know if I just got the flow path wrong, I have also attached the vector eps file that I used to draw the flow path, so if anyone feels like remixing to get it to work, please do! Not for any kind of medical use!
