This is test 2 and a follow up from: https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/48764-test-1with-iglidur-i150-pf-filament

Changes made to test 1 are:

I did a cold pull with PLA to clean the nozzle (was clean)

3 layers of glue with drying in between on an heated bed.

Changed extrusion temperature to 235C for the others than first layer.

Minimum travel after retraction: changed from 1 to 2 mm.

Changed extrusion multiplier from 0.95 to 0.98

My observations are these:

stringing and Oozing is less than in test 1

Print sticks very good to the print bed (too good...)

Still warping upwards of the sharp gear tips (at the beginning and the end).

String on the filament tip after unloading (but less)

Small holes in the draft shield (?)

I received an e mail from Niklas Eutebach from IGUS with recommendations. See below his mail. I will test this in test number 3.

Hi Bas,

thanks for your message.
Based on the screenshots out of the slicer, my assessment is as follows:
• speeds and cooling looks fine
• with a 0,6 mm nozzle, in my experience the extrusion temperature can be lowered below the recommendations. I've printed at 225-230 °C. This will also aid with stringing. Also lower the initial layer temp (235-240 °C), this might help with too much adhesion.
• for cooling, the fan setting can be raised, also printing multiple parts at once helps a single part to cool down more and keep its shape.
• Depending on the filament's age and storing conditions, it might be necessary to dry the material to get the best result. Dry at about 65 °C for at least 4 hrs. in a hot air oven or vacuum dryer.
I hope this helps, if there are further problems please let me know.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best Regards

Niklas Eutebach M.
