Early Boxers and Testarossas use a small O-ring to seal gear oil inside the transaxle. This is woefully inadequate and the later gearboxes use a real spring lipped seal. This adapter allows you to use the Ferrari part number 146306 in an earlier gearbox cover. I used an Onyx filament (chopped carbon and nylon) and it has stood up quite well.
