Tethis Pattern Bolter

“The Tethis Bolter. A very unique and interesting bolter. While built around the parameters of the standard Godwyn Pattern Bolter, its shape and method of firing is noticeably different. The rate of fire of the Tethis bolter is slower, but packs a harder punch, almost akin to that of an auto cannon. The shape of the bolter was modified, making it heavier to compensate for the recoil of using more destructive bolter rounds. Due to its fire rate, more destructive types of bolter ammunition, such as Hellfire Rounds, Kraken Rounds, and Inferno Rounds, are more commonly used, instead of the standard bolter ammunition. Due to the change in shape and weight, the bolter can use the standard size of both the Hellfire, Kraken, and Inferno Rounds, without having to downscale the size of the round. As a result of the ammunition being unchanged, damage output is much greater, which leads to firefights to end much faster, as enemies are taken out much more effectively. A few chapters have started to use this bolter, especially amongst experienced tactical squads and sternguard veterans. After raiding supply vessels and a few forge worlds, some renegades and Chaos warbands managed to get their hands on a limited quantity of the Tethis Bolter, so the Imperium is prepared to see some of our weapons used against us once again…” -Imperial Weapons engineer and designer. I wanted to show my love and support to the 2D artist in the community and give their works the love they deserve, by paying tribute to the original designer, but also giving their designs a physical form that the community can directly interact with, to further spread the love. This bolter design is based off of the work of Tekka-Croe, on Deviantart. Please go give them some love. https://www.deviantart.com/tekka-croe/art/Tethis-Pattern-Bolter-379344083
