After seeing several other gimbal designs (many less beefy than this one), I decided to try my hands at modeling something in Fusion360, using shelf pins that I happened to have laying around. There are probably better designs out there, but this is the one that I am using and it has eliminated z-banding for me. You may also need to work with it a bit to get it installed. One of the other goals I had in designing this was to fix it to the frame in a way that would take some of the guesswork out of squaring up the two mounts. This was done using measurements from my printer, so I am sure there could be slight differences. The shelf pins that I used were these, I believe: https://www.amazon.com/Rok-Hardware-Shelf-Spoon-Nickel/dp/B00XWUQO3M/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1506554845&sr=8-4&keywords=shelf+pins I did have to do some grinding on the ends of the shelf pins to prevent them from rubbing on the outer rings of the gimbal, but not much. If you don't have a grinder, you might be able to use a metal file - you'll probably be there a while, though. Good luck!
