I got tired of trying to reach and fiddle with the extruder all the way behind the printer with it inside an enclosure, so I designed these mounts to bring the extruder to the front of the X axis, facing the user. The mount is designed to be installed on the spacers holding the X-axis stop switch. As the four screws holding the cover are very short, four longer M3 screws are required for a good grip. The single extruder version can accommodate a single extruder and a full size 40 mm motor. The extruder should be facing upwards, as in the picture. It can be mounted sidewards but the filament guide will turn to the side. I only tried PLA with 100% infill and it worked fine for me. The testing sample in the picture was built with a 1.2 mm nozzle, which is why it looks so bad, but it was stupidly strong with just 10% infill. I have not tried other materials and/or lower infill settings with a normal 0.4 mm nozzle as of yet. Edit: Modified the filament guide by Velo17, which I like very much, to fit this model. It intentionally is a separate part, so that everyone can choose whether to use it or not. Mounting it requires two 10-12-16mm button head M3 screws and the guide uses a 608 bearing.
