Tevo tornado extruder SMTechnologies version
thingiverse
SMTechnologies presents its Bowden Extruder version, designed for the Tevo Tornado. This version allows us to use an E3D-V5 or V6 extruder, which significantly improves the print quality of the Tevo Tornado. Additionally, we can include a sensor for automatic platform leveling (in the next version, more sensors like the Pinda M8 and BL-Touch will be included). The Tevo Tornado is a robust printer with good printing area dimensions, but it also has some drawbacks. -Imprecision in the Z-axis -Instability on the print bed due to buildtak bulging -Poor cable management, affecting equipment operation -Bad airflow in the extrusion system (we focus on this point at the moment) Both the heat block dissipator and the fan layer ventilator have unstable airflow. The fan that dissipates the heat block temperature (Fan 40x40mm pull) expels air directly towards the printed layers, causing problems for the resistance to maintain its correct temperature. At the same time, the fan layer's blower directs air not towards the just-extruded filament but instead straight towards the resistance. This is an inconsistency, which is why we decided to create our version of the isolated Bowden extruder, using an E3D-V5 or V6 extruder. The E3D-V5 and E3D-V6 extruders are the most popular and efficient ones today, so we chose this version. For the same reason, a 30x30mm push fan was selected to dissipate the heat block's ring temperatures. By directing airflow from this fan into a closed block, we can effectively dissipate temperatures, eliminating any need for concern when using it (also note that it is the same one used by the EV6). The stock fan layer of the Tevo Tornado has been left in charge of the same task, but its blower has been designed to efficiently direct airflow towards newly extruded layers. It's worth noting that this update can also be applied to similar printers with their X-axis carriage.
