Tevo Tornado Y stepper reinforcement
thingiverse
The wobbly Y stepper motor mount is caused by Tevo's thin aluminum bracket. To strengthen it with minimal disassembly, simply unplug the motor cable. Attach the reinforced bracket using one of Tevo's spare t-nuts and a 15mm M5 allen screw with washer. Before tightening, ensure the stepper motor has some tension and the bracket is positioned near the motor cable plug for maximum stability. Based on your printer calibration, the bracket should fit snugly without any issues. Verify that it doesn't obstruct the silicone heat bed. If necessary, relevel the bed slightly to compensate. Additionally, you may need to adjust the Y endstop forward by 3-5mm for proper contact.
