This clamps the umbilical wiring harness going to the effector to the top plate from the bottom and top of the plate fixing in place and directing the harness between the X and Z columns out the way of anything it could snag. The clamp is designed to be put in place (or removed) with all the wiring already in place, so there is no need to disconnect it from the extruder.
