Texas 3D Fishing Lure

Texas 3D Fishing Lure

thingiverse

I love to fish. I've always wanted to create my own lure ever since I was introduced to 3D printing about a year ago. I've finally found the time to put something together. This is my first lure design. I caught the fish in the photo on my first trip using the lure which means it WORKS! Success!UPDATE: I've used this on a total of 4 fishing trips now (different bodies of water) and have caught fish every time!Make sure you tie a good knot! You're not going to want to lose this baby once you see it in action! Instructions I printed with low density fill in ABS plastic using a Stratasys uPrint SE Plus machine at work. You can print this in all white and paint however you want your lure to look. I inserted two pauses in the build in order to change from Ivory to Red and then back to Ivory material. I used black nail polish for painting the eyes and a clear coat nail polish to seal the entire lure. The lure floats very nicely as you can see in the photos. The hardware can be purchased at any hardware store and the hooks at any place that has a good supply of fishing stuff.
