I was tired of leaking oil pans and valve covers, so I designed my own 2 part system for the covers and pan. This fits the automatic transmission TH-350, which is fitted to many Chevrolet cars.I personally own a Monte Carlo 1976, Landau.Which I have fixed up and upgraded some parts on it.There where basically no schematics or blue prints to be found for the bolt pattern or shell dimension of the pan. And those I could find was way of!So after a lot of trial & error to get all measurements to be as correct as I could get it, by eye balling the dimension while lying under the car. After some time I finally got it to fit, not 100% . But it has worked for over a year now, and gone through two oil changes, without any leakage! So how this works is the lower part is permanently fixed with "glue" component, to prevent any leakage due to the imperfect surface of the gearbox housing. I personally used Permatex for this. And for the second gasket you can get away with using those thinner "paper&rubber" based gaskets, instead of cork. Do not use cork, it will soak easily and thus create drip leakage throught the soaking wet cork. The upper most part is optional, for those experiencing trouble with heat. The 3rd part can act as a passive cooling unit, just like a heatsink on your PC.
