This upgrade lets you use any device for snapping pics, as long as it can receive a trigger signal. Simply hook up the endstop switch as normally open and connect its ground and signal wires to a plug that matches your gadget (like a 3.5mm plug for Android/iPhone or 2.5mm plug for Canon DSLR). You're free to choose any device, even high-end cameras or webcams, and feed their pics directly into your PC software. Now you don't need the stopper part anymore. Just keep the rest of the components as they are. However, you might want a cradle that fits your preferred device - that's not my thing either. Check out this short video to see how it all comes together: https://youtu.be/qSBRz3eTtiQ The STLs in this remix were designed with a 0.15mm tolerance, just like the originals. They should fit perfectly when printed right. If you need to make some adjustments, I've included STEP-files too. Have fun scanning!
