These are the printed parts to help turn the Nerf Mega ThunderHawk into a pump action multi foam ammo type firing blaster with internal prime bar, That I call The Battle Cannon The files included are as follows Calibrator, I think the settings on my printer whilst doing this project may have caused the X and Y axis scaling to be a little off which may result in your prints of these parts to have smaller dimensions and not fit darts correctly, so I have included this piece. Print it out and compare your measurements to the image below, then if they are out scale up your X and Y axis' in your slicer, start at 101.25 percent. After that I suggest printing out the Mega Shell as a test to make sure the darts fit and the shell can freely pass through the clip well. Barrel, this is a larger diameter barrel to allow more darts at a time to be fired from the blaster, Cutting to shell and front is required to fit this piece, and cutting to the dart exit of the clip well is required in order to prevent darts being blocked from leaving the clip well. PrimePa and b, these and an aluminium strip replace the plastic pieces that are removed with this mod that are used to keep the the priming mech centred. PumpGrip A and B version 2 revision C. The two halves of the pump grip with a lip added to the front for more hand support, revised to give more fit tolerance. They attach to an internal aluminium prime bar assembly that you will have to make yourself. Some shell cutting is required. Clips - 8clipDouble, this is a replacement clip that fires 8 bursts, 2 full length or 4 half length elite darts per burst. - 8clipTriple, this is a replacement clip that fires 8 bursts, 3 elite darts per burst. In order to fit 3 darts the holes are elliptical in shape and have a very tight dart fit, darts have to be twisted in and stick out of the clip a little. Due to these design constraints it can't effectively be double stacked with half length darts. - clip8Rival, this is a clip for firing rival balls, can fire up to 3 rival balls per shot. With 3 rival balls this has the least spread and lowest range of the shotgun clips. - clip8single, this clip fires single full or half length elite darts. - clip8Mega, Clip for mega darts. - clip8BCsingle, this clip fires single Boomco darts. - clip8BCtriple, this clip fires 3 Boomco darts per shot. Designed with a large dart spread in mind. - clip8BCquad, this clip fires 4 Boomco darts per shot. MegaShellV6, A single mega dart shell, for when you need a mega dart but don't want to carry a whole clip of them. Prime the blaster, insert the shell from the right side and it will lock in place, fire, then prime and the shell will automatically eject on the return stroke if you pump hard enough. Belt files Some people asked if chain/belt feeding would be possible, so I made these just to see if it would work. Belt types available are as follows. - Single Elite - Double Elite - Single Mega - Rival Rounds - Single Boomco - Triple Boomco Triple elites don't look to be feasible in belt form. It is a bit awkward to pump prime with a belt hanging there, the more links you have the more forward force is required to index the belt and I don't know how practical or durable they are, but a ThunderHawk with a belt sure looks cool. Each type of belt except the rival has two files, the lock piece is only intended to be used as the first link in the chain, It's purpose is for when you insert the belt, insert it further than you need then pull it back out and the belt will automatically lock in the firing position. It's not needed but makes loading the belt much quicker as you don't have to line it up just right yourself. You could also use lock pieces for every link, but it makes it more difficult to remove the belt in case of jams, and can cause feed issues. Due to design constraint issues The rival links all have the lock notch. - Version 2 of the rival file should alleviate feeding issues. - Version 2 of the doublelockpiece altered for improved locking (untested). Belt pieces are hinged together with a small screw, these are the ones I used, but anything with similar dimensions should work https://www.jaycar.com.au/no-4-x-6mm-steel-self-tapping-screws-pk-25/p/HP0550 . See the back of the belt image for reference. I don't know the limit of how many belt links you could have and still be able to have the belt cycle and I also don't no how much weight the hinges can take without breaking. The most I tried was 12 links, and with that the indexing is a bit tough. Please note all the above clips, belts, and shells disable the blasters AR, so it is recommended that you pad the plunger head if you intend to use them. Also note that modding and using modded blasters can be dangerous so safety precautions should always be taken, and Appropriate PPE should always be worn when both modding and using modded blasters
