The Bloom Box Desk Organizer

The Bloom Box Desk Organizer

thingiverse

This is my submission for the Fusion 360 Challenge under the tag #OrganizedFusion. I call my design the "Bloom Box" because by simply moving the tab along the front edge of the top, all the drawers open simultaneously in a satisfying "bloolming" motion. This desk organizer can hold all of your small office supplies such as pens, pencils, markers, Post It notes, paperclips, binder clips, rubber bands, etc. and even has a cradle for your cell phone as well as a provision for the charger cable to be fed through it from the bottom. The Bloom Box is designed to be completely modular. So if someone decides that they only want the lower level of drawers, they can make it that way by printing only the base, lower drawers, lower pushrods, upper crank and spacer, corresponding number of pin caps to hold the pushrods and whichever version of the top they choose. Also, if someone wants a 3rd or 4th level of drawers, they can make more upper drawers, lower and middle pushrods, middle spacers, pin caps, center posts, and middle cranks. Although all the components are designed to be as robust as possible, the maker should just be aware of just how much they are asking of plastic components. Other optional components included in this design are a set of drawer inserts which will fit in either upper or lower drawers and can organize spare 3D printer nozzles as well as SD/micro SD cards.
