The Box ====== **Ender 3 Print head shroud system for Noctua NF-A4x20 and 5015 blower fan** EDIT: Added main part without supports if you want to build your own support structure. This is a remix of my (too simple) Ender 3 cooling duct, which is originally a remix of superpotatofudge's CR-10 40mm Stock Hot End Cooling Duct. I redesigned the thing with radii that match the Noctua NF-A4x20 fan. Redesigned the interior of the duct to my liking and gave 1mm tolerance between the thing and the hot end heatsink. As I wanted this shroud to have easy installation I created recesses on the lower part of the duct to make room for the hot end screws as you slide the whole thing down into place. This way you don't have to unscrew the hot end from the plate. To integrate a 5015 blower fan I placed it to the left of the hot end fan but still leaving a gap between the shroud and the plate so it's still possible to access the eccentric nut. The blower fan attaches to the shroud without the need for screws - instead I designed little bulges that match the screw holes and the fan clicks snuggly into place. There is a small cover on the side to hold the hot end wires. I recommend fastening everything together with the bowden tube so there's less pressure on said cover. The front cover attaches to the Noctua fan again without the need for screws. Because of this feature, short screws are needed to attach the Noctua fan to the main part. The Noctua NF-A4x20 is one of the quietest fans I've found! Although I've been told the A4x10 is enough for this purpose, I chose to get the A4x20, because why not (haha). It does the job pretty well and is "dead silent". I'm really happy with it. Some struggle might be necessary to get past the wheel screws on the plate; 2- screw the main part to the plate using two M3x8 screws. The top screw can be screwed through a hole that is directly aligned with it. The left screw goes behind the to-be-installed blower fan; 3- run the blower fan wires through the little channel located between the blower fan and hot end fan spaces. Install the blower fan by carefully (but somewhat forcefully) pushing into the part. After properly installed, the side vent circle on the main part should be aligned with that of the blower fan; 4- screw the Noctua fan into place. You'll need to pull the wires from the fan channel in order to eliminate unnecessary turns and align them with the channel in the main part; 5- fasten all wires with a zip tie together with the bowden tube and attach the little side lid; 6- push the front cover into place. There are 4 small rectangular pins that are aligned with the Noctua fan holes, and there's a small bulge that aligns with one of the blower fan screw holes. *...et voilà!* If you like my work please consider a...
