The Bracket has Landed
grabcad
I've invested an excessive amount of time in this challenge, reaching a stage where I can't achieve further significant weight reductions without surpassing permissible stress limits. Final weight: 0.521lb (236.16g) Weight/Volume reduction: 72.8% In terms of loading and fixtures, the base support is a virtual wall, while there are four foundation bolts. The external load is applied as bearing pressure on the inner surface of the inner bearing ring. The contact set requires no penetration, essential for proper bearing-bracket contact and virtual wall interaction; this significantly impacted solve times when I reduced the mesh size. The mesh used was a curvature-based one with a maximum element size of 0.02 inches. A comprehensive report is attached. Thank you all, and good luck to everyone participating!
