Here is a prop of the Hearthstone mana token known as “The Coin”.

It lights up wirelessly via inductive LEDs.

I ran out of time due to the contest time frame, but I think it has come out pretty good so far.

I'm including three of the coin base models: a single-sided light-up model, a full sided model split in half that was meant to light up and a full sided model for reference.

There are three parts to The Coin: the base, the lens and the optional LED jig.

I placed 4.3mmx5mm wireless LEDs into the jig facing up. I didn't want to glue the leds in place since I may use them in another project. I used transparent tape to cover the holes with the LEDs in them to keep them from falling out.

The jig and base are straight forward prints. I tappered the runes on the side of the base so they should print okay.

The gem lens is the hard part. It's thin and needs support. I ran out of Blue PVB which is the desired color/effect and couldn't get anymore in time. I tried translucent resin with my SLA machine but it just didn't diffuse light right. In the end I backed the light further away from the lens by making the coin base single sided and using regular PLA as the lens/jewel.

I used super glue to keep everything in place (other than the LEDs)

SketchUp was used to design the model.
