this is a new fan position for the stock Cetus3D printer. The fan will be mounted in line with the extruder motor. This setup won´t have any part cooling option anymore! DRAWBACK: The fan is aonly able to cool the top nozzle part to prevent it from jamming the filament. ADVANTAGE: you can print materials up to 285C (e.g. PC, ABS, TPU etc.) and further the extruder motor is actively cooled. This motor reaches in stock use up to 60C. with this setup it stays in a range up to 40C even under heavy load. WHY? The stock setup is nice. PLA is printing fine but for special materials part cooling is not that important. With the stock setup the nozzle is cooled down too much so it isn´t possible to reach temperatures above 250C. For my personal choice I use the postion of the fan for more than 2 years now without any problems. Only issue I realized for now the air is getting away from the motor to the sides and cooles down the printed part. I usually used tape to close the sides. To control this issue I designed this cover. You can use the stock cetus fan. The extention board cover is quite useless in my opinion so I added a filament feeding tube. There is only one printed part needed finally to get the Cetus much more powerful. Help cover the time of design and if you found this useful, please donate what you think it is worth to my paypal account - https://www.paypal.me/kirkdis Thanks, Enjoy!
