I recently picked up an Anycubic Photon S for the lab. I had never done SLA printing myself, only vicariously through others who made things for me. But the high temp-resistant bio-resins are too tempting to not spend a few hundred bucks on a new printer... even if that makes my 3rd 3D printer... I might have a problem [not enough space for more printers]. Living in New England limits the amount of UV processing of prints you can do outside so, I got the obligatory UV light and solar-powered turntable. I had this on my workbench when I was curing prints but felt that the PPE and safety precautions I was taking needed to be upgraded, especially if I was to spend a lot of time in the workshop or lab with it on. Hence, employing one 3d printer to make useful things for the other. I made a box to hold anything that the 115 x 65 x 155 mm print volume of the Anycubic can put out. You might notice the dual-tone print. Although I really like this, I wasn't intentionally getting fancy. My eSun bright white PLA ran out before it could finish the box, so I witched it over to my favorite test print PLA, eSun Grey. I have thought about making a version that could be printed on the Anycubic, but that would be rather difficult to split into the segments... perhaps when I get some time I will give it a go. I used this box customizer to make the base construction, then imported into Fusion 360 to build the rest of the details: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2594893 Results: I did three test prints and compared the curing time for the box vs sitting on the bench. Saw a 43% reduction in time to cure in the box. I would say that is a significant difference, making me very happy with the results. Now it is safer but also a quicker to end result. Way easier then FDM printing. Anycubic worked really well for me overall and decent build quality. - Anycubic Photon S - https://amzn.to/2YXSlqk - Anycubic Photon (a little cheaper) - https://amzn.to/3ewvkl8 - Anycubic zero (the cheapest) - https://amzn.to/3hXj6nI
