the FlashFlood
pinshape
As someone who has experienced the unwelcome sensation of tumbling down basement stairs more than once, I highly appreciate a modest yet vital dash of illumination at night. I refuse to install a massive, power-guzzling floodlight and still have to remember to turn it on when I need it. Enter the FlashFlood - a brilliant solution! Do you have one of those compact, 9-LED aluminum flashlights from Harbor Freight or the dollar store? How about a spare three to five volt AC to DC adapter handy? Great! Print the four parts, extract the LEDs from their casing, solder a wire to the circuit terminals, add some screws, nuts, and bolts, and voila! The FlashFlood was designed with water resistance in mind, featuring a wire channel in its arm that allows it to be articulated to a pretty broad arc of range. Just be mindful of the polarity and rating of your supply so you don't inadvertently burn through two flashlights... Enjoy!
