Watch your fingers! Some of these plants can bite! The Gardener is a home-grown green thumb who enjoys spending most of his time outdoors looking after plants or looking out for new species. This model was made as an entry to stage 2 of the Search For A Star competition; overall I really enjoyed this project! As always I’ve learnt a lot I just wish I had started it a little earlier, but given the time limit I think my model is at a presentable level. Mostly I have struggled with the technical side of modelling, specifically with getting the retopo to look even/smooth and getting the UV’s to be efficient. I really enjoyed working from my own concept and being able to make my own changes to the design as I go along mostly in the texturing. I’ll definitely be carrying on with this project to tidy it up. I’d like to clean up parts of the retopology, Re-do the textures and perhaps add some extra features to the model.
