On Hall road in Sterling Heights, Michigan there is a $400,000 dollar sculpture in between the Westbound and Eastbound lane, officially known as The Golden Halo but popularly known as [something else entirely](https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/macomb/2019/01/30/golden-butthole-of-macomb-county-sterling-heights/2720821002/). I pass it every time I drive into the office or drive to certain stores. No one asked for it, no one likes it and everyone agrees that the money could be spent on something more useful, such as schooling, repairing the roads, extending the sidewalks another 200 feet to join a few more communities to the golden corridor that the Butthole, I mean Halo, is supposed to represent.
