<p>As with many things I make, there was a problem I wanted to solve. We have a little pantry in the kitchen where we store our strategic supply of cookies. The main issue was that it's too easy for my wife or me to get a cookie when we were not supposed to and to remain undetected. So I started thinking of a solution and remembered the old legend “The cackling of geese saved Rome”. One thing led to another and I built a battery powered duck that quacks when it detects motion.
