This is The Hairy Harry fan. I sent this to the Fan showdown a long time ago and it was never featured. I figured I would put it up online in case anyone else wanted to mess with it. The idea was to take the bridging strands or "Hair" as many refer to it and see what it would do on a fan. I don't any good reason to have hair on a fan, I think it would collect dust and filth, I don't think that's a feature, but maybe there is some expensive equipment out there that needs cooling and no duct going into the internals. The Most well known example I can pull from memory on the "Hair" or strand bridging is the hairy lion. This much like that design uses a secondary sacrificial wall. Ideally this wall is removed so the hair can move freely. I thought it would be cool to see how the fan faired considering all the individual hairs moving as it spun.
