 Manolo Valdès (born in Valence in 1942) was chosen by the city of Biarritz to create this sculpture 2.50 m high, in bronze, weighing 700 kg, inaugurated on June 24, 2003 on the plot of the Hundred Guards, Didier Borotra Being mayor. The head is, according to Manolo Valdes, inspired by a painting of Matisse and its name was attributed to the envy of Manolo, without any particular reason.
