The House Beach

The House Beach

This is a functional prototype of an outdoor project that any can implement in their own backyard. This is a wave generator that uses a wind helix and an scotch yoke to transform circular movement into linear movement resulting in waves on the surface of water simulating a beach scenario. This is an idea that I had some time ago to implement in my own house in future, and think this is a great opportunity to work on it. Is very common to have sand boxes for children to play, but how about to have your own beach in the backyard? The very interesting thing about this model is that it represent an actual natural scenario. We all know that moon generates water attraction causing waves and as a result wind currents, so wind and waves in ocean are related, but this time is the inverse relation between the wind and wave, as faster the wind as bigger and intense the waves. https://youtu.be/mvwSYqWLoLwhttps://youtu.be/mWzQB0ptSxk Print Settings Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 25% Notes: The beach.stl is printed at 0.3mm resolution and 20% infill for saving time Helix.stl printed at 0.1mm resolution with raft and support.
