It’s probably past time that TMO had a bit of a freshening of the logo, and I’ve learned a pile of new techniques, so why th’Hell not, right? A few hours’ tinkering, a little understanding of design composition, complex object modeling intersection, and good ol’ elbow grease gave us these two beauts. Inspired by the old logo design, we still incorporate the beams of searchlights, but now stylized into 3D lozenges or simple background elements. Radio’s dropped because it’s no longer a purely audio endeavour. And the root logo is ready for use anywhere that a square design with alpha channel will fit.
