FOR INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO ON ASSEMBLY AND USE: https://centers.njit.edu/addlab/node/74/ The NJIT Swab is an open source design intended for addressing the supply chain shortage of testing swabs caused by COVID19. It is designed to use small cuts of rayon/Dacron sheets in place of a machine spooled swab, as the former are far more available. Clinical trials are ongoing to determine sterilization methods and use with humans. In the interim the maker community is encouraged to download, print, and make improvements to the design. The NJIT Swab is a patent pending product of NJIT's ADD Lab. Our website, along with an instructional video for the swab can be found here: https://centers.njit.edu/addlab/home/ Link to type of sheets needed for swab head assembly: https://www.amazon.com/Medline-Avant-Non-Woven-Non-Sterile-Sponges/dp/B00CSO8FSU/ref=sr_1_5?crid=30FXFGSWCMVFT&dchild=1&keywords=non+woven+gauze&qid=1589005157&sprefix=non+woven%2Caps%2C148&sr=8-5
